Central Pacific Collective (CPC) is a community-led organisation enabling wellbeing outcomes for Pasefika people in Wellington.
Guided by the principle of 'by Pasefika, for Pasefika' Central Pacific Collective puts community voice at the centre of everything we do. As a community-led regional delivery model, we draw government, social and community agencies into focused Pasefika-led action — improving wellbeing, equity and strengthening communities across Wellington and Aotearoa to serves the generations to come.
Our story is part of the story of Pasefika migration to Aotearoa: communities who came with deep cultural knowledge and a long view of what it means to be good ancestors. That long view shapes everything we do.
Our Whare Our Fale is the physical expression of that commitment. Shaped by the community from the beginning, it represents Pasefika wisdom translated into homes and neighbourhoods - shifting the story of housing in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Everything we do is grounded in our Pasefika values:
CPC works where the need is greatest — improving wellbeing, building capacity and capability, and advancing equity for Pasefika communities. Our work spans housing, economic development and community wellbeing, always led by the people it is designed to serve.
Homeownership is one of the most powerful drivers of equity. Through Our Whare Our Fale, we are creating real pathways for Pasefika families into homes that are affordable, culturally grounded and built for intergenerational living.
Central Pacific Collective (CPC) was founded in 2014 as a charitable trust, established to support Pasefika health service providers across the Central North Island.
From the beginning, the work has been the same: bringing Pasefika communities together, coordinating effort and putting community voice at the centre of decisions that affect Pasefika lives.
We are unshamedly Pasefika.
Our solutions are designed and delivered by our own people – creating the conditions for Pasefika communities to thrive on their own terms.
Guided by Pasefika values, we work across the wellbeing pillars that deliver long-term benefits for our communities: housing, health, economic security and connection.
Our Whare Our Fale (OWOF) reimagines the Pacific village in Aotearoa, transforming life outcomes for Pasefika communities in eastern Porirua.
Built on a life-partnership with mana whenua Ngäti Toa Rangatira and supported by the largest government investment ever made in a Pasefika organisation.
OWOF Stage 1 - Mua i Malae, was delivered at the end of 2025. Eighteenfamilies now own their homes for the first time. With capacity for up to 300 homes, a model designed from the outset to scale and replicate, and Stages 1.2 and 1.3 already under development, OWOF is a proof of concept for a new era in housing in Aotearoa.
"We said we would deliver quality homes that reflect who we are as Pasefika people, and we've done exactly that. We're proving that when Pasefika lead, when we design for our own needs, when we work in true partnership, we can change our future."
